Terms of Use
SteerClaw Mobile and steerclaw.ai · Last updated October 5, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern the SteerClaw Mobile app for Android and iOS (“SteerClaw” or the “app”), the website steerclaw.ai and related features, including future versions and updates (together, the “services”). The services are provided by Steer Corp., a corporation incorporated in Delaware, United States of America (“Steer”, “we”, or “us”). These Terms form an agreement between Steer and the person using the services (“you”). Other Steer products are governed by their own terms.
Please read these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You accept these Terms by selecting “I agree” in the app or by using the services. If you do not agree, do not use them. These Terms are an electronic record, and your electronic acceptance has the same effect as a handwritten signature. Where law requires separate consent for a particular use of personal data, we ask for it separately.
IMPORTANT: STEERCLAW IS FREE SOFTWARE PROVIDED AS IS. IT MAY CONTAIN BUGS AND TAKE UNINTENDED ACTIONS, AND YOU USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK. THESE TERMS LIMIT STEER’S LIABILITY (SECTIONS 13 AND 14) AND, WHERE PERMITTED BY LAW, REQUIRE DISPUTES TO BE BROUGHT IN WASHINGTON STATE WITHIN ONE YEAR AND WAIVE JURY TRIALS AND CLASS ACTIONS (SECTION 19).
Feature availability differs by platform, device and release.
1. Scope of services
SteerClaw is an AI assistant that carries out tasks you direct, using AI models and other services you choose.
A “model” is the AI system that reads your requests and writes the replies, such as OpenAI’s GPT or Anthropic’s Claude, or one running on your own server. The company or server that runs it is the “model provider”. Steer does not run any model.
SteerClaw can create, change and delete files, run tasks and take actions on your device and online. These actions may affect information or systems beyond what you intended. Supported features, models and integrations are limited and may change.
Tasks may continue in the background and can pause, fail or be interrupted.
2. Eligibility, personal use and no account
You must be at least 18 years old, or any higher age required where you live, and able to enter a binding agreement under applicable law, to use the services. You may not use the services if applicable law prohibits you from receiving them. The services are for your personal use only. You may not use them on behalf of a business or other organization.
You do not need to create or sign in to a SteerClaw account. A model provider, connected service or website may have its own account, eligibility and authentication requirements. Signing in to that service does not create a SteerClaw account.
3. Free app and third-party costs
The app is currently free. Steer may charge for the app or any feature in the future. We will tell you before that happens, and we will not charge you unless you agree. Any paid offering will come with its own pricing and purchase terms.
You remain responsible for charges imposed by your selected model provider, service provider, mobile carrier or other third party. A provider’s subscription may not permit use through another app.
4. Your providers and credentials
You connect SteerClaw to AI model providers using your own accounts or keys. You must have permission to use them and comply with the provider’s terms and usage limits. Compatibility with a provider is not endorsement, partnership or a guarantee of continued access.
You are responsible for keeping your keys, accounts and device secure, and for any use of them.
Provider outputs, availability, prices, retention and training practices are controlled by that provider, not Steer.
5. Connected services
“Connected Services” are the outside services SteerClaw exchanges information with when you use it:
- model providers;
- MCP services: tools from other companies that you connect, such as Notion or GitHub;
- web search providers;
- websites the app reads for a task or opens in its built-in browser;
- any other external service you connect or that a task uses.
When you use Connected Services, information moves between the app and those services at your direction. Steer does not control Connected Services, and their availability, security, reliability and data handling vary.
You are responsible for:
- deciding what information to send to each Connected Service;
- setting up and managing each connection and the permissions you grant it;
- reading and following each Connected Service’s terms and policies;
- understanding the risks of connecting to or sharing information with it.
Steer does not guarantee that the app’s permissions or settings will prevent every action. Questions about a Connected Service itself should go to its provider.
Steer is not responsible or liable for any Connected Service, model provider, website or other third-party content or service. This includes its outputs, availability, security breaches, data retention or training practices, and charges. You use them at your own risk.
6. Tool actions and your control
Depending on your settings, SteerClaw may take some actions without asking you first.
Use only accounts, files, websites and data you are authorized to access, and obtain any necessary permission before sharing someone else’s personal information. Stopping a task does not reverse actions already taken.
Websites and other external content can contain errors or instructions designed to mislead AI. SteerClaw may act on them.
Your instructions and responsibility
SteerClaw is a software tool that acts on your behalf using the models and Connected Services you choose. Describing it as an “AI agent” does not make it, or Steer, your legal agent (see Section 16). It may act on general goals as well as precise instructions, so consider your instructions carefully. You are solely responsible for the instructions, goals and guidance you give, and for the actions SteerClaw takes or directs to carry them out. This includes messages, content, contracts, commitments, purchases and other transactions made through your use of the app, whether they result from precise instructions, a stated goal, general guidance or otherwise.
Human oversight
Keep meaningful human oversight of what SteerClaw does. Review its actions promptly and keep approval in place that is appropriate to how consequential an action is. Do not let it operate highly autonomously without suitable safeguards.
Some actions change things outside the conversation and can be hard or impossible to undo, such as sending messages, making payments, deleting data or changing system settings. Review and approve these before they run, or grant pre-approval only where you are comfortable with the consequences.
You accept full legal responsibility for the content SteerClaw produces and the actions it takes in your use of the app, as if you had personally created or taken them. This includes sole responsibility for their accuracy, truthfulness and lawfulness. If an action produces inaccurate or unwanted results, you are solely responsible for promptly correcting them with everyone affected.
Waiver of claims. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any claim against Steer arising from AI-generated content, or from actions taken by SteerClaw or any AI agent, in connection with your use of the services, except claims arising from Steer’s gross negligence, willful misconduct or fraud.
Generated files, code and apps
You are solely responsible for documents, images, code, apps, websites and other artifacts that SteerClaw creates, generates, publishes or hosts at your direction, and for all content, data and activity in or through them. This applies whether or not you reviewed them or knew their contents, before or after creation, and includes content in them supplied by you, a model or a third party. If you publish or host an artifact, you are responsible for it as if you had created it yourself. That includes monitoring it while it remains available and promptly removing content that violates these Terms or the law.
Purchases and financial actions
If SteerClaw makes purchases, payments, transfers or other financial actions at your request:
- you must be authorized to use every card, account or payment credential involved;
- you bear all risk of financial loss from those actions and from your use of SteerClaw;
- you are solely responsible for setting appropriate limits and safeguards, monitoring your accounts and disputing errors with your bank or payment provider on time;
- some transactions cannot be reversed;
- you are solely responsible for ensuring the transactions are lawful, including under trade-control laws.
SteerClaw is not a licensed financial adviser, broker, fiduciary, money transmitter or financial institution. Financial actions are also subject to the terms of the merchants, payment providers and other services involved.
Limits on what you can authorize
Your instructions cannot authorize unlawful conduct. Steer and SteerClaw may, in Steer’s sole discretion, refuse, suspend or stop any action at any time, without notice or liability, including an action that would break the law, these Terms or SteerClaw’s built-in safety controls, even if you approved it.
7. Your representations and warranties
You represent and warrant to Steer, each time you use the services, that:
- Authority. You have the legal right to take every action you instruct or authorize SteerClaw to take, including over the accounts you connect, the information you provide and the people you contact.
- Permissions. You have every permission, consent and license needed for those actions and for the information you share. This includes consent, where required, from people whose personal information is processed, from anyone shown or heard in images, audio or video you provide, and from anyone on whose behalf you make arrangements.
- Compliance. Your use of SteerClaw and Connected Services, and the actions you instruct it to take, comply with applicable laws, regulations and contracts. These include data-protection, anti-spam, marketing, securities, computer-misuse and trade-control laws.
8. AI outputs and professional advice
AI can produce inaccurate, incomplete, biased, offensive or fabricated content, including incorrect citations and faulty code. Outputs can look accurate because they are detailed or specific and still contain serious errors. Actions may fail or not run as you intended, and results vary with your inputs, model and Connected Services. Outputs do not represent Steer’s views. Review outputs and actions before relying on them, running them elsewhere, publishing them or sharing them, and independently confirm anything important. Similar outputs may be generated for other users, and ownership or intellectual-property protection for an output is not guaranteed.
You accept the risk that outputs may be offensive, disturbing or objectionable. You, not Steer, are responsible for how you use and respond to them.
SteerClaw does not provide licensed medical, legal, financial, investment, tax or other professional advice. Information it provides is general, and financial information is not personalized advice. It should not be the sole basis for a decision affecting health, safety, legal rights, employment, credit or significant finances. Consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use the services, or let anyone else use them, to:
- violate any applicable law or regulation, or promote, encourage or facilitate illegal activity;
- exploit or endanger children; create or distribute child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate images, other prohibited sexual content or other illegal content;
- threaten, harass, stalk, intimidate or defame anyone, or encourage violence, self-harm, disordered eating or other physical or emotional harm;
- facilitate making, obtaining or using weapons, explosives, illegal drugs, controlled substances or hazardous materials;
- discriminate unlawfully on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability or another protected characteristic;
- make, or be a substantial factor in, decisions about another person’s employment, credit, housing, insurance, education, healthcare or legal rights without meaningful human review;
- carry out regulated activities (such as medical, psychological, financial or legal services, political campaigning or lobbying) without required licenses or authorization;
- engage in anticompetitive conduct such as price-fixing, bid-rigging or market allocation;
- send bulk calls, messages or other communications without consent required by law, such as under the TCPA, CAN-SPAM Act or similar laws;
- collect or process biometric or other human-characteristic data where the law prohibits or regulates it, or without the express consent of the person concerned;
- engage in practices prohibited by the EU AI Act or similar laws, including manipulative or subliminal techniques that distort behavior, exploiting people’s vulnerabilities, social scoring, predicting criminal behavior from profiling, building facial-recognition databases by untargeted scraping, inferring emotions in workplaces or schools, or categorizing people by biometric data to infer sensitive characteristics;
- commit fraud, scams or phishing, spread misinformation or disinformation, deceive or mislead anyone, generate deceptive documents, impersonate a person or organization, or misrepresent authority or affiliation;
- present AI-generated content as human-written;
- hide that an AI agent is interacting with someone on your behalf where the law requires disclosure;
- chain or sequence automated actions in a way designed to hide their automated nature from the people affected;
- bypass another service’s terms, security, access controls, paywalls or CAPTCHAs, or use someone else’s credentials without authorization;
- develop or deploy malicious code, steal credentials, evade security protections or access a system, account or data without authorization;
- encourage or enable SteerClaw to override its safety, security or privacy safeguards, or to control physical systems in a way that could endanger people or break the law;
- help minors obtain age-restricted goods, services or content such as alcohol, tobacco, firearms, gambling or adult content;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy or other rights, or disclose information you are not entitled to share;
- collect or harvest personal information about other people without their authorization or another lawful basis;
- abuse Steer’s support or reporting channels, submit automated spam, scrape Steer’s websites by automated means, or disrupt our infrastructure;
- remove required proprietary or third-party notices; copy, modify, adapt, translate, tamper with, create derivative works of, rent, lease, sell, sublicense or redistribute Steer’s proprietary software; reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to extract its source code, prompts or other non-public components; or circumvent its technical protections, except where applicable law or a third-party license permits it;
- use Steer’s software, website content or other Steer materials (not your own content or outputs) to develop, train, fine-tune or evaluate artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, or to build a competing product.
You must comply with US, EU, UK and UN sanctions and export-control laws (“Trade Controls”). Do not use the services for any end use, user or destination prohibited by Trade Controls, and do not submit or request information that requires a government license to release or export. You represent and warrant that you are not a target of Trade Controls such that using the services would violate them.
Private, responsible security reports are welcome at support@steercorp.io. No testing of Steer’s systems is authorized without Steer’s prior written permission, and these Terms never authorize access to other people’s information.
10. Your content and intellectual property
You retain the rights you hold in the content you supply. Steer does not gain ownership of your content or a right to train models on it.
For content you send to Steer, such as reports, support requests and feedback, you grant Steer a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store, use, copy and disclose it to our service providers and to authorities. Steer may use it to operate and secure the services, investigate and enforce these Terms, improve the services and comply with law, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Model-provider terms may separately address input and output rights. You are responsible for reviewing those terms and securing rights needed to use or distribute the result.
Steer and its licensors own all rights, title and interest, including intellectual-property rights, in the services, software, branding, designs and original materials. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable license to install and use the app for its intended lawful purposes under these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved, and you have no right, title or interest in the services beyond this license. Third-party components retain their respective licenses; those licenses govern the rights they grant. No license to Steer trademarks is granted beyond ordinary identification of the app. Names, logos and links of third-party providers, websites and services that appear in the services belong to their owners and do not imply endorsement of, or affiliation with, Steer.
If you believe material we control infringes your rights, contact support@steercorp.io with the material’s location, the rights involved and sufficient information to investigate. We may terminate the access of users who repeatedly infringe others’ rights.
11. Privacy, feedback, support and monitoring
The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
You may provide suggestions or feedback. Steer may use them without restriction, without any confidentiality obligation and without compensating you, under a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide and royalty-free license, while handling any personal information under the Privacy Policy.
You can report AI responses using the reporting options in the app, or contact support@steercorp.io for support or to raise a content concern.
Steer has no obligation to monitor or review your use of the services, your content or SteerClaw’s actions, and any review we do does not make us responsible for them. We may review anything you send to Steer and retain it as described in the Privacy Policy, and we may change built-in safety controls through app updates to block or limit types of actions.
12. Availability, changes and ending use
We may improve, change or discontinue features at any time. You agree that Steer may deliver app updates, which may add, change or remove features and safety controls. Except where required by applicable law, Steer has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, correct any particular defect, or provide updates within any specified time. External services may independently change or become unavailable. The app is not a backup service; keep independent copies of important files. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Steer is not responsible for the loss, deletion or corruption of any data, files or information stored in, processed by or sent through the app.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that SteerClaw will complete any action, act on time, be able to reverse or undo an action once started, run without interruption or error, or work with every model or Connected Service.
You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. Uninstalling does not delete information held by third parties or stored outside the app.
If we determine that your content or conduct violates these Terms or poses a risk to Steer, other users or third parties, we may take the action we consider appropriate. This can include warning you, restricting features or services we operate, terminating the software license or referring the matter to law enforcement.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the services or any feature, or remove, disable or restrict access to any artifact we host, at any time and for any reason, without prior notice or liability. Reasons include preventing a security risk or other credible risk of harm or liability to Steer, the services or any third party; legal requirements; and violations of these Terms.
When your right to use the app ends, it ends immediately: you must stop using and uninstall the app, and you may not reinstall it without Steer’s permission. Pending or in-progress tasks may be cancelled without finishing, and Steer is not responsible for any consequences of incomplete actions. The following survive termination: Sections 3 through 11, except the license granted to you in Section 10; the second paragraph and this paragraph of Section 12; and Sections 13 through 20.
We may update these Terms from time to time in our sole discretion. Material changes will be identified on this page and in the app, with reasonable notice before they take effect, and we may ask you to accept the updated Terms in the app. If you keep using the services after updated Terms take effect, the updated Terms apply; if you do not agree, stop using the services before then. Changes to Section 19 do not apply to a dispute that arose, or of which either party gave notice, before the change took effect.
13. Warranties
THE SERVICES MAY CONTAIN BUGS, DEFECTS AND VULNERABILITIES THAT CAUSE FAILED OR UNINTENDED ACTIONS, INCORRECT RESULTS, LOSS OF DATA OR OTHER HARM. APPROVAL SETTINGS, PERMISSIONS AND SAFETY CONTROLS DO NOT ELIMINATE THESE RISKS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES, OUTPUTS AND ACTIONS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, AND STEER MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY. THIS INCLUDES ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, PRIVACY, COMPATIBILITY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. STEER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES, OUTPUTS OR ACTIONS WILL BE SAFE, SECURE, ACCURATE, CURRENT, UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. STEER ALSO DOES NOT WARRANT THAT STEERCLAW WILL PERFORM TASKS ACCURATELY, COMPLETELY OR ACCORDING TO YOUR INSTRUCTIONS, OR THAT ACTIONS TAKEN BY STEERCLAW OR BY THIRD PARTIES INVOLVED IN YOUR USE WILL ACHIEVE THE OUTCOME YOU INTEND.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STEER, ITS AFFILIATES AND THEIR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), PRODUCT LIABILITY, STATUTE OR OTHERWISE, FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, INFORMATION OR DATA. THIS APPLIES TO DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES, OR YOUR INABILITY TO USE THEM, EVEN IF STEER WAS ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE. IT INCLUDES ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM STEERCLAW TAKING AN UNINTENDED, MISTAKEN OR UNAUTHORIZED ACTION, SUCH AS SENDING AN UNINTENDED MESSAGE, COMPLETING AN UNINTENDED TRANSACTION OR CHANGING OR DELETING DATA.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF STEER AND THOSE PERSONS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES, UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$50 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID STEER FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE MOST RECENT CLAIM. THIS LIMIT DOES NOT APPLY TO CLAIMS ARISING FROM STEER’S GROSS NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT OR FRAUD.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited; in that case, liability is limited to the maximum extent that law allows.
15. Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Steer and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents. This covers claims and demands by third parties, including government authorities, and all resulting losses, liabilities, damages, settlements and costs, including reasonable legal fees. It applies to anything arising from or relating to:
- your use of the services, your content or your instructions;
- any use of the services through your device, keys or accounts, whether or not you authorized it;
- actions SteerClaw takes or artifacts it creates on your behalf;
- your Connected Services;
- your violation of these Terms or of law, or your infringement of anyone’s rights.
This obligation does not apply to the extent a court finally determines that the claim resulted from Steer’s negligence, willful misconduct or breach of these Terms, independent of your instructions, content or use of the services.
Steer will try to notify you of a claim; late notice relieves you only to the extent it materially prejudices you. Steer may take exclusive control of the defense at your expense, and you will cooperate with it. You may not settle a claim that affects Steer without Steer’s prior written consent.
16. No fiduciary, agency or partnership relationship
Steer and SteerClaw do not owe you fiduciary duties. You remain responsible for decisions, actions and outcomes resulting from your use of the services. Neither these Terms nor your use of the services create a legal agency, partnership, joint venture or employment relationship between you and Steer, or between Steer and any third party SteerClaw interacts with on your behalf.
17. App store terms
If you obtained the app from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply, and Google is not a party to these Terms. Nothing in this section restricts rights granted by mandatory platform terms or applicable third-party software licenses.
The rest of this section applies if you obtained the app from Apple’s App Store. These Terms are between you and Steer only, not Apple. Steer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content. The license in Section 10 is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service, except that the app may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing. Section 2’s personal-use requirement still applies to every user.
Steer is solely responsible for any maintenance and support of the app, only to the extent stated in Section 12 or required by applicable law. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund any purchase price for the app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. As between Steer and Apple, Steer is responsible, to the extent required by these Terms, for any claims, losses or costs arising from a failure to conform to a warranty. This includes product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer-protection and privacy claims, and third-party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes intellectual-property rights. Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling or discharging those claims.
You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated by the US government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. When using the app, you must comply with applicable third-party terms, such as your wireless data service agreement. Questions, complaints or claims about the app should be sent to Steer at the address, telephone number or email in Section 20.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
18. General provisions
These Terms and any supplemental terms we present for particular features are the entire agreement between you and Steer about the services. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. They replace any earlier understandings. Descriptions of the services on our website, in app store listings or in marketing materials are not warranties. No statement by support personnel creates an additional warranty or modifies these Terms unless expressly agreed in writing by an authorized representative of Steer. Supplemental terms become part of these Terms and govern only where they conflict.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as needed to make it enforceable; if that is not possible, it will be removed and the remaining provisions continue. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver. Except for updates made under Section 12, any amendment or waiver by Steer must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Steer.
Steer is not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, labor disputes, power, internet or telecommunications failures, failures of third-party services or providers, cyberattacks and malicious code.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them. Steer may assign or transfer them freely, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets. Except for Apple and its subsidiaries under Section 17 and the persons protected by Sections 14 and 15, no one other than you and Steer has rights under these Terms.
19. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms, and any dispute between you and Steer arising out of or relating to them, the Privacy Policy, the services or steerclaw.ai, are governed by the laws of Washington State, USA, and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, either party must send the other written notice describing the dispute and the relief requested, and allow 60 days for good-faith informal resolution. Your notice must include your name and a contact email. Send notices to Steer at support@steercorp.io with the subject “SteerClaw Notice of Dispute”. Steer may send notice to any contact details you have given us or by notice in the app. Applicable limitation periods are suspended during the 60-day period. This requirement does not prevent urgent injunctive relief or complaints to regulators.
Courts. Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, proceedings must be brought exclusively in the state courts located in King County, Washington, or the US District Court for the Western District of Washington, where that court has jurisdiction. You and Steer consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Individual claims and jury waiver. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you and Steer may bring claims only on your or our own behalf, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action, and you and Steer waive any right to a jury trial.
Time limit. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises; otherwise it is permanently barred.
Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or forums that cannot lawfully be waived.
